There is an edict of Queen Isabella and the king Ferdinando who submit the emerged lands to the new owners. The escaped animals and the exhalations of sulphur, these signs were seen like signs of divine punishment. The inhabitants of Triperbole frightened escaped. Lots of them assisted from Naples to the eruption and some rocks they felt in the water. Somebody returned to live to Pozzuoli in 1500 because Don Pedro of Toledo, deputy Spanish king, decided to build to Pozzuoli the building of Toledo and he invited the Neapolitan nobility to Pozzuoli. He exonerated from the taxes all the citizens of Naples, so the city returned populated.
